Jomtien Beach is located just a short distance from the southern end of Pattaya Beach. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from South Pattaya to Jomtien Beach. Or you may take a Song Thaew from Beach Road. When taking a Song Thaew, it’s better to ask about their route or tell them your destination first. The atmosphere at Jomtien Beach is calmer, and this place is well-known for its water sports, as well for leisurely sun bathing. There are shopping areas, bars, hotels with private beaches, bungalows, and restaurants. Compared to Pattaya Beach, Jomtien Beach is better suited for family leisure, due to its serenity, fewer nightlife activities and, especially, the Pattaya Park Amusement Complex. The complex consists of a amusement park, a water park, and a restaurant, and is open daily from 11.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M.
